Biological description
13-residue peptide that acts as a selective inhibitor of mammalian heat-shock protein (Hsp25) kinase [mitogen-activated protein kinase-activated protein kinase-2 (MAPKAP kinase-2)]. Inhibition is competitive with respect to the substrate peptide (Ki = 8.1 µM) and non-competitive with respect to ATP (Ki = 134 µM).
