  • Product overview

Human LRIG3 ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of LRIG3 in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples.

This assay employs an antibody specific for human LRIG3 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and LRIG3 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human LRIG3 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LRIG3 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

This ELISA antibody pair detects Human LRIG3. Other species not determined.

  • Function

May play a role in craniofacial and inner ear morphogenesis during embryonic development. May act within the otic vesicle epithelium to control formation of the lateral semicircular canal in the inner ear, possibly by restricting the expression of NTN1.
  • Tissue specificity

    Widely expressed.
  • Sequence similarities

    Contains 3 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.
    Contains 15 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats.
    Contains 1 LRRCT domain.
    Contains 1 LRRNT domain.
  • Cellular localization

Cell membrane. Cytoplasmic vesicle membrane. Detected in cytoplasmic vesicles when coexpressed with ERBB4.
