General notes
ATF is the amino terminal fragment of urokinase (uPA) corresponding to amino acid residues 1-135. uPA-ATF contains the growth factor like domain, which binds to the urokinase receptor, and the kringle domain which is involved in the induction of cell chemotaxis by urokinase. ATF inhibits the binding of urokinase to its receptor uPAR and acts as a broad inhibitor of cell migration.
