Biological description
Potent and selective irreversible gastric H+/K+ ATPase pump inhibitor (IC50 = 72 nM). Prodrug of sulphenamide. Activates over a greater pH range than omeprazole (ab142993). Shows antibacterial effects against H. pylori (IC50 = 290 nM). Prevents the production of stomach acid in vivo. Orally active. -

Handling
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day.
