Biological description
Potent antioxidant. Inhibits iNOS expression (IC50 = 16.8 μM). Anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, antitumor, antimicrobial and apoptotic agent. Induces apoptosis by upregulating p53 and bax expression. Honokiol (Asc 647) isomer. Inhibits LPS-induced TNF-α and IL-1β production. Antidepressant and anxiolytic effects in vivo. Orally active. -
