Biological description
Adenosine analog. Poly(A) polymerase substrate. Inhibits cleavage and polyadenylation reactions by interacting with the ATP-binding site on poly(A) polymerase. Active form of Vidarabine (Vira-A) (ab143081). Antiviral properties. Competitive viral DNA polymerase inhibitor. Disrupts viral DNA synthesis.
