General notes
ab221921 is a carrier-free antibody designed for use in antibody labeling, including fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, enzymes.
Our Low endotoxin, azide-free formats have low endotoxin level (≤ 1 EU/ml, determined by the LAL assay) and are free from azide, to achieve consistent experimental results in functional assays.
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. Abcam is leading the way in addressing the problem with our range of recombinant monoclonal antibodies and knockout edited cell lines for gold-standard validation.
One factor contributing to the crisis is the use of antibodies that are not suitable. This can lead to misleading results and the use of incorrect data informing project assumptions and direction. To help address this challenge, we have introduced an application and species grid on our primary antibody datasheets to make it easy to simplify identification of the right antibody for your needs.

This data was developed using ab109322, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Flow Cytometry analysis of Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia T lymphocyte) cells labeling TNF Receptor II with Purified ab109322 at 1/20 dilution (10 µg/mL) (Red). Cells were fixed with 4% Paraformaldehyde and permeabilised with 90% Methanol. A Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150077) secondary antibody was used at 1/2000. Isotype control - Rabbit monoclonal IgG (Black). Unlabeled control - Cell without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody (Blue). -
Immunocytochemistry - Anti-TNF Receptor II antibody [EPR1653] - Low endotoxin, Azide free (ab221921)This data was developed using ab109322, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Immunocytochemistry analysis of Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia T lymphocyte) cells labeling TNF Receptor II with Purified ab109322 at 1/50 dilution (2.66 µg/mL). Cells were fixed in 4% Paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with 0.1% tritonX-100. Cells were counterstained with Ab195889 Anti-alpha Tubulin antibody [DM1A] - Microtubule Marker (Alexa Fluor® 594) 1/200 dilution (2.5 µg/mL). Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150077) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution (2 µg/mL). DAPI (blue) was used as nuclear counterstain. PBS instead of the primary antibody was used as the secondary antibody only control. -
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-TNF Receptor II antibody [EPR1653] - Low endotoxin, Azide free (ab221921)This data was developed using ab109322, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human breast carcinoma tissue sections labeling TNF Receptor II with Purified ab109322 at 1/150 dilution (0.89 µg/mL). Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval using ab93684 (Tris/EDTA buffer, pH 9.0). ImmunoHistoProbe one step HRP Polymer (ready to use) was used as the secondary antibody. Negative control: PBS instead of the primary antibody. Hematoxylin was used as a counterstain. -
