Biological description
Potent, non-competitive ACAT inhibitor (IC50 = 5-10 nM). Inhibits cholesterol esterification (IC50 values are 150 and 330 nM for L S180 and HepG2 cells respectively). Lowers plasma cholesterol levels and cholesterol absorption in vivo. Orally active. -
