Product overview
Porcine CCL4 ELISA Kit (ab273215) is an in-vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Porcine CCL4 in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.
This assay employs an antibody specific for Porcine CCL4 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and Porcine CCL4 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed, and biotinylated anti-Porcine CCL4 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Porcine CCL4 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Function
Monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. Binds to CCR5. One of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells. Recombinant MIP-1-beta induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV). The processed form MIP-1-beta(3-69) retains the abilities to induce down-modulation of surface expression of the chemokine receptor CCR5 and to inhibit the CCR5-mediated entry of HIV-1 in T-cells. MIP-1-beta(3-69) is also a ligand for CCR1 and CCR2 isoform B. -
Sequence similarities
Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. -
Post-translational
modificationsN-terminal processed form MIP-1-beta(3-69) is produced by proteolytic cleavage after secretion from peripheral blood lymphocytes. -
Cellular localization
Secreted. - Information by UniProt
