    Human PDGF-CC ELISA Kit (ab234568) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of PDGF-CC protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human PDGF-CC with 2.79 pg/ml sensitivity.


    SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time.     The platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) family of heparin-binding growth factors consists of five known members, denoted PDGF-AA, PDGF-BB, PDGF-AB, PDGF-CC and PDGF-DD. The mature and active form of these proteins, an anti-parallel disulfide-linked dimer of two 12-14 kDa polypeptide chains, is obtained through proteolytic processing of biologically inactive precursor proteins, which contain an N-terminal CUB domain and a PDGF/VEGF homologous domain. The PDGFs interact with two related protein tyrosine kinase receptors, PDGFR-alpha and PDGFR-beta, and are potent mitogens for a variety of cell types, including smooth muscle cells, connective tissue cells, bone and cartilage cells, and certain tumor cells. They play an important role in a number of biological processes, including hyperplasia, chemotaxis, embryonic neuron development, and respiratory tubules epithelial cell development. Mature PDGFs are stored in platelet alpha-granules and are released upon platelet activation. PDGF-AA, -AB, -BB and –CC signal primarily through the PDGF R alpha receptor, whereas PDGF-DD interacts almost exclusively with the PDGF R beta receptor.

      The concentrations of PDGF-CC were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the PDGF-CC standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 25% and platelet poor plasma (citrate) 12.5%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PDGF-CC concentration was determined to be 1501.39 pg/mL in serum and 864.88 pg/mL in platelet poor plasma (citrate).

      The concentrations of PDGF-CC were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the PDGF-CC standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PDGF-CC concentration was determined to be 651.77 pg/mL in OVACR-3 supernatant 100%.

      Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PDGF-CC concentration was determined to be 91.69 pg/mL with a range of 11.83 - 446.58 pg/mL.
