Human NT-ProANP ELISA Kit (ab245705) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of NT-ProANP protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human NT-ProANP with 26.2 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. The NT-ProANP standard curve was prepared as described in Section 10. Raw data values are shown in the table. Background-subtracted data values (mean +/- SD) are graphed.

The concentrations of NT-ProANP were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the NT-ProANP standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: plasma (citrate) 100%, plasma (heparin) 100%, and plasma (EDTA) 100%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean NT-ProANP concentration was determined to be 713.8 pg/mL in neat plasma (citrate), 2,675 pg/mL in neat plasma (heparin), 5,029 pg/mL in neat plasma (EDTA).

Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean NT-ProANP concentration was determined to be 10.76 ng/mL (based on detectable samples) with a range of undetectable - 15.68 ng/mL. Serum from ten individual apparently healthy human male donors was also measured in duplicate; all values were below the detectable range of the assay (not shown).
