    Human Apolipoprotein A II ELISA kit (ab184859) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Apolipoprotein A II protein in human serum, plasma, urine, cell culture supernatant samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate human Apolipoprotein A II with 6 pg/mL sensitivity.

    SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time.             -Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
            -High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies

    A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpeStep ELISA® kits.

  • Notes

    Apolipoprotein AII may stabilize HDL (high density lipoprotein) structure by its association with lipids, and affect the HDL metabolism. ApoA2 forms a disulfide-linked homodimer. Apolipoprotein AII also forms a disulfide-linked heterodimer with APOD and interacts with HCV core protein, APOA1BP and NDRG1.

    100,000 X diluted serum samples from 10 apparently healthy male donors were measured using this kit. Interpolated data values corrected for sample dilution are graphed in mg of ApoA2 per mL of serum (mean +/- SD, n=3). The mean of ApoA2 concentration of these ten individual serum samples was determined to be 209 μg/mL with a range of 143 – 225 μg/mL.
