Human ALPL ELISA Kit (ab254503) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of ALPL protein in cell lysate. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human ALPL with 73 ng/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Notes
ALPL, also known as tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase, catalyzes phosphate ester hydrolysis when in a basic environment. Deficiency in this protein leads to loss in mineralization of bone and teeth which can be fatal. ALPL is currently being used a prognostic marker for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.

Interpolated concentrations of native ALPL in human Saos-2 cell extracts based on a 300 µg/mL extract load.The concentrations of ALPL were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the ALPL standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean ALPL concentration was determined to be 59.73 ng/mL.
