Specfic NF-κB inhibitor. Induces apoptosis and suppresses TNF-α gene expression in vitro. Farnesyltransferase and geranylgeranyltransferase I inhibitor (IC50 = 80 and 17 μM respectively). Mycotoxin antibiotic. Immunosuppressive, anti-inflammatory and antitumor agent. Active in vivo and in vitro. Orally active. -
