Specificity
ab68565 reacts with CD53 exclusivelly expressed on leukocytes; it is not present on platelets, red blood cells and non-hematopoietic cells. This antibody reacts also with deglycosylated molecule (molecular weight of the antigen is reduced by 15 kDa using endoglycosidase F). -

Flow Cytometry - FITC Anti-CD53 antibody [MEM-53] (ab68565)Overlay histogram showing peripheral blood lymphocytes stained with ab68565 (red line). The cells incubated in 1x PBS / 10% normal goat serum / 0.3M glycine to block non-specific protein-protein interactions. The cells were then incubated with the antibody (ab68565, 1 µg/1x106 cells) for 30 min at 22°C. Isotype control antibody (black line) was mouse IgG1 FITC (2 µg/1x106 cells ) for 30 min at 22°C. Acquisition of >5,000 events was performed.
