Biological description
Irreverisble inhibitor of mitochondrial carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 (CPT1). PPARα direct agonist. Used in fatty acid oxidation studies. Induces ROS production in T cells with concentrations larger than 5µM and prevents T cell differentiation. Complex I of electron transport chain inhibited at concentration 200µM.
