Biological description
Cell-permeable analog of endogenous ceramide-1-phosphate, a putative second messenger of sphingomyelin metabolism. Stimulates DNA synthesis and cell division in fibroblasts. Negative regulator of TNF-α production. Promotes Ca2+ entry through VGCCs in pituitary cells. -

Handling
