Yellow chromogenic β-lactamase substrate -
Biological description
Yellow chromogenic β-lactamase substrate. Hydrolyses readily in the presence of all β-lactamases except for Aeromonas hydrophila metalloenzyme. Suitable for kinetic studies, the detection of the enzymes in crude extracts and chromatographic fractions. Absorbs light at 346 nm (Δε = -2500 M-1 cm-1) or 405 nm (Δε = +6400 M-1 cm-1). -
