Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. Abcam is leading the way in addressing the problem with our range of recombinant monoclonal antibodies and knockout edited cell lines for gold-standard validation.
One factor contributing to the crisis is the use of antibodies that are not suitable. This can lead to misleading results and the use of incorrect data informing project assumptions and direction. To help address this challenge, we have introduced an application and species grid on our primary antibody datasheets to make it easy to simplify identification of the right antibody for your needs.

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-IL2 Receptor beta/p75 antibody [EPR22892-2] (ab263906)
Immunofluorescent analysis of 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed, 0.1% Triton X-100 permeabilized PBMC cells labelling IL2 Receptor beta/p75 with ab263906 at 1/50 dilution, followed by ab150077 AlexaFluor®488 Goat anti-Rabbit secondary antibody at 1/1000 dilution (Green). Confocal image showing membranous staining in a subset of Human PBMC cells. is observed. ab195889 Anti-alpha Tubulin antibody [DM1A] - Microtubule Marker (Alexa Fluor® 594) was used to counterstain tubulin at 1/200 dilution (Red). The Nuclear counterstain was DAPI (Blue).
Secondary antibody only control: Secondary antibody is ab150077 AlexaFluor®488 Goat anti-Rabbit secondary at 1/1000 dilution.

Flow cytometric analysis of Human peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) cells labelling IL2 Receptor beta/p75 with ab263906 at 1/500 compared with a Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) isotype control (left) and an unlabelled control (cells without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody) (Blue). Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150077) at 1/2000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.
Cells were stained with rabbit IgG (Left) or ab263906 (Right). Then stained with anti-CD56 conjugated to BV421. IL2 Receptor beta/CD122 is constitutively expressed primarily by NK cells (PMID: 24055329). Gated on viable cells.
