Specificity is measured by ELISA using pure pig collagen types I and III. No binding to pig serum proteins is seen at similar dilutions of the antibody. No cross reactivity seen against pig basement membrane collagens type IV and V in immunostaining.

Full length native collagen type I and III from pig skin.

• Pig kidney and skin. Cultured porcine cells.

Lyophilized:Reconstitute with 1ml of distilled water and add preservative if required.

Immunogen affinity purified

Pooled antisera are passed over DEAE-cellulose to produce an IgG enriched fraction. Antibodies specific to type I and type III pig collagen are then immobilised by affinity chromatography and eluted with an acidic buffer. The final purification steps are neutralisation, dialysis and lyophilisation.
