General notes
This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgM format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
This antibody does not have a J-chain and therefore presents as a hexamer, rather than a pentamer.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free production

RAW264.7 cells stained for alpha-gal epitope (green) using the original Mouse IgM version of this antibody at 10 μg/ml, followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody at 2 µg/ml in ICC. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom ab, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was stained with anti-unknown antibody followed by Alexa Fluor® 488 secondary antibody.

Flow-cytometry analysis of RAW264.7 cells labeling Alpha gal with anti-unknown IgG antibody (isotype control, black line) or the the original Mouse IgM version of this antibody (blue line) at 1/100 dilution for 1 hour at room temperature. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-mouse IgG AlexaFluor® 488 antibody at 1/1000 dilution and cells analysed using a flow-cytometer.
