Biological description
Potent, selective competitive 5-HT6 antagonist (pKi values are 8.81 and 9.02 for rat and human native receptors, respectively). Orally active, cognitive enhancer in vivo. Displays >200-fold selectivity over 5-HT1A, 5-HT1B, 5-HT1D, 5-HT1E, 5-HT1F, 5-HT2A, 5-HT2B, 5-HT2C, 5-HT4, 5-HT7, α1B, D2, D3, D4 receptors, ion channels and a range of enzymes.

Handling
