Biological description
Selective PP2C inhibitor. Inhibits MKP-1 (IC50 = 10 μM). Induces cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase. Induces ROS-mediated oxidative stress in growing cells. Shows antiproliferative and cytotoxic effects (IC50 = 7.6 μM for S-G gingival epithelial cells). Shows antitumor effects in vivo. Orally active. -
