Glutathione S-transferase inhibitor. Binds to the G-site and stabilizes GST against urea. Binds to macrophage migration inhibitory factor (Kd = 2.5 mM). Partially suppresses oxidant peroxynitrite-induced mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening. -
