Function
Acts as a ligand for Notch receptors. Blocks the differentiation of progenitor cells into the B-cell lineage while promoting the emergence of a population of cells with the characteristics of a T-cell/NK-cell precursor. -

Expressed in heart and pancreas, with lower expression in brain and muscle and almost no expression in placenta, lung, liver and kidney. -

Induction of Hes1 with the treatment of ab108952.
A mouse preadpipocyte cell line, 3T3L1, was stimulated with 5ug/ml of ab108952 as in indicated time points and each cell lysate was prepared and subjected to western blot by using anti-Mouse Hes1 or GAPDH. -
Interaction of Human Notch1 with Human DLL1. HEK293 cells transfected with a human Notch1 or a Human GITR ligand expressing vector were incubated with 25 ug/ml of Human GITR-Fc or ab108952). Cells were stained with anti-Human IgG(Fc specific) FITC conjugate for DLL1-Fc binding.
