Mouse NGF R ELISA Kit (CD271) (ab205569) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of NGF R (CD271) protein in cell culture extracts, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, serum, and tissue extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse NGF R (CD271) with 1.6 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. NGF R is a receptor involved in neuronal cell death and cell survival, insulin mediated glucose uptake in adipocytes and skeletal muscle, metabolism in the liver, and in circadian rhythms.

Plays a role in the regulation of the translocation of GLUT4 to the cell surface in adipocytes and skeletal muscle cells in response to insulin, probably by regulating RAB31 activity, and thereby contributes to the regulation of insulin-dependent glucose uptake (By similarity). Low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. Can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells. Necessary for the circadian oscillation of the clock genes ARNTL/BMAL1, PER1, PER2 and NR1D1 in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) of the brain and in liver and of the genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism in the liver. -
