Human FABP4 ELISA Kit (ab234565) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of FABP4 protein in cell culture extracts, cell culture supernatant, serum, tissue extracts, cit plasma, edta plasma, and hep plasma. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human FABP4 with 2.7 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. The concentrations of FABP4 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the FABP4 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 1:80, plasma (heparin) 1:67, plasma (EDTA) 1:67, and plasma (citrate) 1:67. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean FABP4 concentration in the neat samples was determined to be 13 ng/mL in serum, 12 ng/mL in plasma (heparin), 7 ng/mL in plasma (EDTA), and 11 ng/mL in plasma (citrate).

Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean FABP4 concentration was determined to be 18 ng/mL with a range of 7 – 33 ng/mL in the female donors and 12 ng/mL with a range of 8 – 15 ng/mL in the male donors.
