By immunoelectrophoresis and ELISA this antibody reacts specifically with Rat IgG. No antibody was dtected against IgA, IgM or non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Reduced cross-reactivity to human and mouse IgG was detected.

Antiserum was cross adsorbed using human and mouse immunosorbents to remove cross reactive antibodies. Antiserum was solid phase adsorbed to ensure class specificity.This antibody was isolated by affinity chromatography using antigen coupled to agarose beads and conjugated to DyLight® 488. -

Overlay histogram showing peripheral blood lymphocytes stained with ab30446 (red line). The cells were incubated with the antibody (ab30446, 1μg/1x10^6 cells) for 30 min at 4°C. The secondary antibody used was DyLight® 488 goat anti-rat IgG (Fc) at 1/250 dilution for 30 min at 4°C. Isotype control antibody (black line) was rat IgG2b [RTK4530] (ab18541, 2μg/1x10^6 cells) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample (blue line) was also used as a control. Acquisition of >5,000 events were collected using a 20mW Argon ion laser (488nm) and 525/30 bandpass filter.
