Description
Cyanine5 azide red dye reagent for Click Chemistry -
Biological description
Cyanine5 is an analog of Cy5®, one of the most commonly used fluorophores. Cyanine5 can be used as a replacement for Alexa Fluor® 647, and DyLight® 649. It is soluble in organic solvents (e.g. DMSO, DMF), therefore the labeling reaction should be carried out with a small amount of an organic co-solvent. This azide can be used for the labeling of alkyne-modified biomolecules in mixtures of water with organic solvents. The solution in DMSO is ready for use in bioconjugation.
