Biological description
Selective, cell-permeable Hsp90 ATPase inhibitor (IC50 values are 3.2 μM and 6.6 μM for Human Hsp90 beta and yeast Hsp90 respectively). Exhibits no detectable effects against Human Hsp72 ATPase or topoisomerase II. Shows antiproliferative effects. Upregulates Hsp72 and downregulates c-Raf and cdk4. Antitumor activity is independent of NQO1/DT-diaphorase and P-glycoprotein expression.
