Biological description
Potent class I PI3K inhibitor, blocking both p110α and p110β (IC50 = 52 nM and 166 nM, respectively) in vitro. At 5 μM, prevents the growth of assorted cancer cell lines and inhibits tumor growth in vivo. Reduced effect against class III PI3K Vps34 and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR).
