Potent, selective, competitive norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (Ki values are 5, 77 and 1451 nM for inhibition of radioligand binding to human NET, SERT and DAT respectively). Decreases glutamatergic transmission in a brain region-specific manner. Shows psychostimulant and appetite suppressant effects in vivo. Blood-brain barrier permeable. Orally active. -
