Observed band size: 40,80 kDa why is the actual band size different from the predicted?
NS1 is present as a dimer (~80 kDa) in unheated samples but dissociates into monomers (~40 kDa) if samples are boiled before loading on the gel. Ab41490 recognises both forms of NS1.
