General notes
Ab240558 is the carrier-free version of ab219799. This format is designed for use in antibody labeling, including fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, enzymes.
Our carrier-free formats are supplied in a buffer free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol for higher conjugation efficiency.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with
ab240558 is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm.
Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free production

Flow cytometric analysis of mouse primary splenocytes labeling CD11c with ab219799 at a 1/50 dilution.
Cells were stained with BV421 conjugated CD11b and rabbit IgG (Left panel) or CD11c (Right panel).
Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488, ab150077), at 1/2000 dilution was used as the secondary antibody.
Gated on viable cells.
This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol, and sodium azide (ab219799).

Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse spleen tissue labeling CD11c with ab219799 at 1/100 dilution, followed by ready to use Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB (ab209101). Positive staining on dendritic cells of mouse spleen (PMID: 20194631, PMID: 15795237) is observed. Counterstained with hematoxylin.
Secondary antibody only control: Used PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody is ready to use Rabbit specific IHC polymer detection kit HRP/DAB (ab209101).
Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval using ab208572 (Universal HIER antigen retrieval reagent). This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol and sodium azide (ab219799).
