Apoptotic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. SERCA activator (EC50 = 4 μM, Ca2+ ATPase in cardiac sarcoplasmic reticulum). Inhibts COX-2 expression. Blocks p38 MAP kinase activation. Shows antiangiogenic effects in vivo. Orally active. -

Handling
