Biological description
α2 Adrenoceptor agonist (IC50 = 68.2 nM). Ki values for receptor subtypes are 1570 (α2A), 1360 (α2B), 1200 (α2C) and 1460 nM (α2D). Activates KATP channels through the NO/cGMP pathway. Displays anaesthetic, antinociceptive and muscle relaxatory actions.

Handling
