Potent, specific acyl-CoA synthetase inhibitor (Ki values are 15 nM and 2 μM for Faa2p and Faa4p respectively). Inhibits synthesis of cholesteryl ester and triacylglycerol in vitro. Vasodilator agent. Orally active. Active in vivo and in vitro.
