Mouse PR3 ELISA kit (ab277720) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse PR3 protein in mouse serum, plasma, cell and tissue culture supernatant, and cell and tissue culture extract samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse PR3 with 51.21 pg/mL sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Notes
Mouse PR3 is a polymorphonuclear leukocyte serine protease that degrades elastin, fibronectin, laminin, vitronectin, and collagen types I, III, and IV (in vitro). PR3 causes emphysema when administered by tracheal insufflation to hamsters. Mouse PR3 shares 93.5%, 66.9%, 70.7%, and 66.3% sequence homology with rat, human, cow, and monkey, respectively.

Interpolated concentrations of native PR3 in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant samples.The concentrations of PR3 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the PR3 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 5%, plasma (citrate) 2.5%, plasma (EDTA) 2.5%, plasma (heparin) 2.5% and lung supernatant 25%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PR3 concentration was determined to be 210.96 ng/mL in serum, 487.99 pg/mL in plasma (citrate) 156.49 pg/mL in plasma (EDTA), 243.00 pg/mL in plasma (heparin), and 11.72 ng/mL in lung supernatant.

The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PR3 concentration was determined to be 8.38 ng/mL in spleen extract and 7.15 ng/mL in bone marrow extract.
