Mouse TREM1 ELISA Kit (ab277444) is an in-vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Mouse TREM1 in serum (mouse TREM1 concentration is low in normal serum/plasma and may not be detectable in this assay), plasma and cell culture supernatants.
This assay employs an antibody specific for Mouse TREM1 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and Mouse TREM1 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed, and biotinylated anti-Mouse TREM1 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse TREM1 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Function
Stimulates neutrophil and monocyte-mediated inflammatory responses. Triggers release of pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines, as well as increased surface expression of cell activation markers. Amplifier of inflammatory responses that are triggered by bacterial and fungal infections and is a crucial mediator of septic shock. -
Tissue specificity
Highly expressed in adult liver, lung and spleen than in corresponding fetal tissue. Also expressed in the lymph node, placenta, spinal cord and heart tissues. Expression is more elevated in peripheral blood leukocytes than in the bone marrow and in normal cells than malignant cells. Expressed at low levels in the early development of the hematopoietic system and in the promonocytic stage and at high levels in mature monocytes. Strongly expressed in acute inflammatory lesions caused by bacteria and fungi. Isoform 2 was detected in the lung, liver and mature monocytes. -
