Mouse JNK1 ELISA Kit (ab243679) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of JNK1 protein in cell culture extracts. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse JNK1 with 230.4 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Function
Responds to activation by environmental stress and pro-inflammatory cytokines by phosphorylating a number of transcription factors, primarily components of AP-1 such as JUN, JDP2 and ATF2 and thus regulates AP-1 transcriptional activity. In T-cells, JNK1 and JNK2 are required for polarized differentiation of T-helper cells into Th1 cells (By similarity). Phosphorylates heat shock factor protein 4 (HSF4).
JNK1 isoforms display different binding patterns: beta-1 preferentially binds to c-Jun, whereas alpha-1, alpha-2, and beta-2 have a similar low level of binding to both c-Jun or ATF2. However, there is no correlation between binding and phosphorylation, which is achieved at about the same efficiency by all isoforms. -

Interpolated concentrations of native JNK1 in RAW264.7 cell extract based on a 500 µg/mL extract load.The concentrations of JNK1 were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the JNK1 standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean JNK1 concentration was determined to be 4091 pg/mL in RAW264.7 cell extract.
