Product overview
Mouse JAM-A ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of JAM-A in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples.
This assay employs an antibody specific for mouse JAM-A coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and JAM-A present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse JAM-A antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of JAM-A bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Seems to plays a role in epithelial tight junction formation. Appears early in primordial forms of cell junctions and recruits PARD3. The association of the PARD6-PARD3 complex may prevent the interaction of PARD3 with JAM1, thereby preventing tight junction assembly (By similarity).
