    Mouse IL-18BP ELISA Kit (ab254509) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of IL-18BP protein in cit plasma and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse IL-18BP with 151.82 pg/ml sensitivity.


    SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time.             - Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less

  • Notes

    IL-18BP is a protein that binds to IL-18, preventing it from interacting with its receptor. IL-18BP inhibits the early TH1 cytokine response. IL-18 is produced constitutively by mononuclear cells.

    The IL-18BP standard curve was prepared as described in Section 10. Raw data values are shown in the table. Background-subtracted data values (mean +/- SD) are graphed.

    The concentrations of IL-18BP were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the IL-18BP standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 2.5% and plasma (citrate) 10%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean IL-18BP concentration was determined to 175.87 ng/mL in serum and 201.01 ng/mL in plasma (citrate).
