    Mouse GAS6 ELISA kit (ab278087) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse GAS6 protein in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant.. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse GAS6 with 8.4 pg/mL sensitivity.


    SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:


            -Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
            -High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
            -Fully validated in biological samples

    A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.

    Gas6 (Growth arrest-specific protein 6), also known as AXL receptor tyrosine kinase ligand, is a secreted ligand for tyrosine-protein kinase receptors AXL, TYRO3 and MER whose signaling is implicated in cell growth and survival, cell adhesion and cell migration. Gas6 signaling plays a role in various processes such as endothelial cell survival during acidification by preventing apoptosis, optimal cytokine signaling during human natural killer cell development, hepatic regeneration, gonadotropin-releasing hormone neuron survival and migration, platelet activation, or regulation of thrombotic responses.

    Gamma-carboxyglutamate residues are formed by vitamin K dependent carboxylation. These residues are essential for the binding of calcium.

      The GAS6 standard curve was prepared as described in Section 10. Raw data values are shown in the table. Background-subtracted data values (mean +/- SD) are graphed.

      The concentrations of GAS6 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the GAS6 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 10%, plasma (citrate) 10%, plasma (EDTA) 5%, plasma (heparin) 10% and kidney supernatant 25%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean GAS6 concentration was determined to be 45.4 ng/mL in neat serum, 44.3 ng/mL in neat plasma (citrate), 71.8 ng/mL in neat plasma (EDTA), 49.3 ng/mL in neat plasma (heparin) and 2.0 ng/mL in neat kidney supernatant.
