Human THBS2 ELISA Kit (ab260051) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of THBS2 protein in cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, milk, serum, and cell culture media. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human THBS2 with 0.024 ng/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. THBS2 (Thrombospondin-2) is a secreted cell adhesion glycoprotein that mediates cell-to-cell and cell-to-matrix interactions. It is a ligand for CD36 which mediates antiangiogenic properties.

The THBS2 standard curve was prepared as described in Section 10. Raw data values are shown in the table. Background-subtracted data values (mean +/- SD) are graphed.

The concentrations of THBS2 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the THBS2 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows: serum 25%, plasma (citrate) 50%, plasma (heparin) 25%, plasma (EDTA) 50%, and plasma (CTAD) 25%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean THBS2 concentration was determined to be 17.55 ng/mL in neat serum, 8.328 ng/mL in neat plasma (citrate), 18.15 ng/mL in neat plasma (heparin), 11.22 ng/mL in neat plasma (EDTA), and 8.524 ng/mL in neat plasma (CTAD).
