    Human Siglec 7 ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of Siglec 7 in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples.


    This assay employs an antibody specific for human Siglec 7 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and Siglec 7 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human Siglec 7 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Siglec 7 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.


    This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: human ADAMTS13, Aggrecan, Angiotensinogen (SERPINA8), B7-H1 (CD274), BMPR-IA (ALK-3), BMPR-II, Cadherin-11, CD27 (TNFRSF7), CD6, Ck beta 8-1 (CCL23), CNTF, DNAM-1 (CD226), CD147 (EMMPRIN), FLRG, Follistatin-like 1, Fractalkine (CX3CL1), Galectin-1, GITR Ligand (TNFSF18), Granulysin (NKG5/LAG-2), IL-1 R3 (IL-1 R Acp), IL-15 R alpha, IL-17E (IL-25), IL32 alpha, CHL-1 (L1CAM-2), LRIG3, LRP-6, MEPE (OF45), Nectin-4, Periostin, Persephin, Renin, RGM-B, ROBO3, S100 A8, Syndecan-3, Thrombospondin 2, Thrombospondin 5 (COMP), Tie-1, ULBP-2 (ALCAN-alpha/N2DL2).

    Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3- and alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. Also binds disialogangliosides (disialogalactosyl globoside, disialyl lactotetraosylceramide and disialyl GalNAc lactotetraoslylceramide). The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immune response, may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase(s) via their SH2 domain(s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. Mediates inhibition of natural killer cells cytotoxicity. May play a role in hemopoiesis. Inhibits differentiation of CD34+ cell precursors towards myelomonocytic cell lineage and proliferation of leukemic myeloid cells (in vitro).

    Predominantly expressed by resting and activated natural killer cells and at lower levels by granulocytes and monocytes. High expression found in placenta, liver, lung, spleen, and peripheral blood leukocytes.
