Biological description
Aminoglycoside antibiotic. Has a broad range of antibacterial activity both in vivo and in vitro. Also active against protozoa and helminths. Inhibits protein synthesis by blocking the elongation step. Routinely used as a selective agent in cell culture gene selection applications.

Handling
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day.
