General notes
The COS7 nuclear extracts have been collected in Lysis Buffer after a 16 hour incubation with or without CoCl2 (0.15 mM). The protein content has been determined by a Bradford based assay (2.50 mg/ml). We recommend aliquoting the extracts into single use fractions and then storing.

Background
These fibroblast-like cells grow in monolayers and are possible hosts for the propagation of pure populations of recombinant SV40 virus and contain T antigen of SV 40 virus. They are useful in virus replication studies and transfection studies.
