General notes
CGRP (hu, Mod Asp3 to Pra) ab146956 is a 37 amino acid neuroendocrine hormone that belongs to the calcitonin (CT) family. It is a vasodilator and plays an important role in neurogenic inflammation, and therefore has gained significant interest for the treatment of migraine. CGRP exerts effects through the CGRP receptor. To probe receptor binding, labelling with TAMRA azide, 5- isomer, Orange emitting fluorescent dye (ab146486), using Cu(I)-catalysed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) to position 3 of human αCGRP, generates a potent fluorescent CGRP.
