Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
The Life Science industry has been in the grips of a reproducibility crisis for a number of years. Abcam is leading the way in addressing the problem with our range of recombinant monoclonal antibodies and knockout edited cell lines for gold-standard validation.
One factor contributing to the crisis is the use of antibodies that are not suitable. This can lead to misleading results and the use of incorrect data informing project assumptions and direction. To help address this challenge, we have introduced an application and species grid on our primary antibody datasheets to make it easy to simplify identification of the right antibody for your needs.

Immunofluorescent analysis of 4% paraformaldehyde-fixed Jurkat cells labeling Interferon alpha 6 with ab192264 at 1/50 dilution. The cells were permeabilised with 0.1% Triton X-100. Goat anti-rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor® 488) (ab150077) at 1/200 dilution was used as the secondary antibody (green). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).
The negative controls are as follows;
1. Anti-Interferon alpha 6 at 1/50 dilution followed by Goat anti mouse IgG (Alexa Fluor®594) at 1/500 dilution.
2. Anti-Interferon alpha 6 at 1/50 dilution followed by Goat anti mouse IgG (Alexa Fluor®594) at 1/500 dilution. -
Flow cytometry analysis of Jurkat cells labelling Interferon alpha 6 (red) with purified ab192264 at dilution of 1/600. The secondary antibody used was Alexa Fluor® 488 goat-anti-rabbit IgG (1/2000). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilised with 90% methanol. Isotype control antibody used was Rabbit Monoclonal IgG (black). The blue line shows cells without incubation with primary antibody and secondary antibody.
