General notes
Reproducibility is key to advancing scientific discovery and accelerating scientists’ next breakthrough.
Abcam is leading the way with our range of recombinant antibodies, knockout-validated antibodies and knockout cell lines, all of which support improved reproducibility.
We are also planning to innovate the way in which we present recommended applications and species on our product datasheets, so that only applications & species that have been tested in our own labs, our suppliers or by selected trusted collaborators are covered by our Abpromise™ guarantee.
In preparation for this, we have started to update the applications & species that this product is Abpromise guaranteed for.
We are also updating the applications & species that this product has been “predicted to work with,” however this information is not covered by our Abpromise guarantee.
Applications & species from publications and Abreviews that have not been tested in our own labs or in those of our suppliers are not covered by the Abpromise guarantee.

All lanes : Anti-HuB+HuC+HuD antibody [16A11C1D4] (ab176106) at 1 µg/ml
Lane 1 : Human HuC protein fragment (ab91911) at 0.1 µg
Lane 2 : HuD human recombinant protein at 0.1 µg
Lane 3 : SH-SY5Y cell lysate at 20 µg
Secondary
All lanes : Goat polyclonal to Mouse IgG - HRP at 1/5000 dilution
Predicted band size: 40, 42 kDaPredicted MW (kDa): HuB/ELAVL2: 39.5 kDa, HuC/ELAVL3: 39.5kDa, HuD/ELAVL4: 41.7kDa
Why the observed band size is different than the predicted band size: HuC protein (ab91911) is a fragment and has an N terminal His tag and is predicted to present at 24 kDa.

Specificity of antibody using the ELISA platform.
Antibody concentration is at 1µg/mL the concentration of recombinant proteins is at 250ng/mL. ab176106 reacts specifically to HuC/ELAVL3 and HuD/ELAVL4 proteins. Reactivity with HuB protein is predicted by the immunogen sequence similarity.
